MBABANE– New-school vintage RnB singer Manana is featured on late South African rapper AKA’s new album ‘Mass Country’

The album is both a parting gift to his fans and a love letter to South Africa; ‘Mass Country’ was produced and completed before South African rapper Kiernan Forbes’ untimely death. With a mix of local sounds, and features from a host of South Africa’s hottest hip-hop talent including Khuli Chana, Blxckie, his girlfriend Nadia Nakai, Emtee, Yanga Chief, Sjava and more, there is no mistaking that this one was for his South African fans.

Manana is featured on the third track ‘Crown’ which also features South African rapper Emtee. What makes ‘Crown’ even more special is the fact that it features award-winning artists, Emtee and Manana, who deliver some scorching hot verses. The collaboration between AKA, and Manana is a match made in musical heaven, according to fans.

Manana, when speaking about the feature said, ‘Crown’ is an outstanding single that demonstrates AKA’s exceptional talent as a rapper and artist.

“Overall Crown was a phenomenal feature for me, with the release of Mass Country  I’m sure everyone has had a chance to appreciate the great talent that AKA was,” said Manana.

Meanwhile, Ndumiso Manana was born in the humble hills of Eswatini. Whether behind the drum kit, piano or microphone, he is able to express what the heart needs to hear simply and honestly.

He began his musical journey in a choir school at the age of eight and has not looked back since. The 27-year-old artist is now an up and coming singer, songwriter with the debut singles ‘Hey Now’ and ‘Voice Message’ stamping his arrival into the music scene.

When Nigeria’s Burna Boy’s album ‘Twice as Tall’ came out tops in the best global music album category at the 63rd Grammy Awards, little did singer-songwriter Manana know that this win would also be a life-changing moment for him. He walked away with a Grammy for his contribution on a song on the album titled ‘Time Flies’ featuring Sauti Sol.
