MBABANE– Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula yesterday visited Mbabane Government Hospital, the national referral health facility, to familiarise himself with its operations and challenges.
The Minister wanted to gain a better understanding of the hospital’s role in providing healthcare services to the people of Eswatini.
The Minister explained that one of the objectives of his visit to the facility was to gain an understanding of the full range of services offered and identify any areas of improvement.
He also stated that it was important to understand the challenges faced by the staff and to explore ways in which the Ministry could support them.
The Minister expressed his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the staff members, despite the lack of medical supplies and challenges with working conditions.
He acknowledged that the situation has improved and praised them for continuing to provide quality healthcare services.
During the tour, the Minister encouraged staff members to raise any challenges that they were facing, which could hinder them from providing quality healthcare services to the people of Eswatini. He stressed the importance of open communication in order to identify and resolve any issues.
