MBABANE – The Ministry of Health has announced its readiness to provide care and support for any disasters that may occur during this busy time of Easter season.
This was said by the Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula at Ngwenya Border Post during the official launch of Easter readiness project today.
Minister Matsebula stressed that the clinic at the border post was fully equipped to handle any health emergencies that could arise during the Easter season. An ambulance had also been deployed to ensure that anyone in need of further medical care could be transported to a hospital.
The Minister emphasised that the safety and well-being of the public was a top priority, and that the Ministry was taking all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for everyone.
Minister Matsebula gave special recognition to the border post employees, including police officers, revenue service staff, immigration officers, and healthcare workers, for their cooperation and teamwork. He acknowledged that the shortage of staff had been a challenge, but noted that workers have returned from leave to ensure the smooth operation of the border post during the Easter season. The Minister’s remarks highlight the importance of collaboration and dedication to ensure the safety and well-being of all those who would be crossing the border during this time.
In light of recent reports of cholera and other health concerns, Matsebula emphasised the need for proper sanitation and hygiene, including hand washing, as a way to keep everyone safe and healthy during the upcoming Easter season.
