MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III has appointed 12 public servants into new positions in the justice system.
His Majesty appointed acting judges as well as public prosecutors for the High Court, the Supreme Court, the Industrial Court, and the Industrial Court of Appeal. The judges were sworn in this afternoon.
Speaking at the appointment announcement by the Judicial Services Commission, Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala noted that the staff in the justice system is now complete.
The appointed judges include Judge Mbutfo Mamba, Judge Judith Currie, and Judge Magrietha Van der Walt who are all in the Supreme Court; Judge Sabelo Masuku in the High Court; Judge Andreas Lukhele in the Industrial Court of Appeal; Judge Muzikayise Motsa, Judge Velaphi Dlamini, and Judge Lungile Msimango who were appointed to serve in the Industrial Court.
Additionally, Lungile Grace Hlophe was appointed acting Director of Public Prosecutions.
Acting judges who were appointed to hold the positions for 3 months were Mabandla Manzini in the Supreme Court, Thami Dlamini in the High Court, and Banele Ngcamphalala in the Industrial Court. Additionally, Lomvula Grace Hlophe was appointed as acting Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
