HIS MAJESTY KING MSWATI III RETURNS FROM INTERNATIONAL WORKING TRIP

SIKHUPHE – His Majesty King Mswati III has returned from his international working trip.

His Majesty left the country to attend the 42nd Ordinary SADC Summit for Heads of State and Government in the Republic of Congo. Amongst other engagements at the SADC Summit, His Majesty also received a medal honoring His Majesty King Sobhuza II as a co-founder of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). The Summit also concluded to host a special session on the political environment of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Following the SADC Summit, His Majesty visited the Republic of Indonesia to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries. During the visit, His Majesty hosted a business forum to discuss investment opportunities for Indonesians in the Kingdom of Eswatini. The two countries also signed a Joint Cooperation Agreement during His Majest the King’s visit in Indonesia.

Following Indonesia, His Majesty attended the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Morroco. His Majesty met with Heads of State and other diplomatic delegations.

His Majesty returned just in time for the Umhlanga Reed Ceremony which started yesterday.
