The festival is currently underway at Hlane, when addressing the media he said Hlane was the place to be today, where Emaswati can convene to celebrate and commemorate culture.

He said the festival was already picking up and getting colourful, with Lutsango and spectators taking up space at the Royal Residence.

He stated that the previous activations they had as Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA), building up to today were aimed to serve as a reminder that Eswatini stands ready even in 2023 to welcome tourists from Mpumalanga and Mozambique.

“ For an immersive experience of its world-renowned, unique and diverse tourism offering. Help us document the spirit of unity, sense of pride, and women empowerment that the Marula Festival symbolises.

“This is a time when the women of Eswatini pay homage to their Majesties with Her Majesty the Indlovukazi,” he said.

Lutsango is expected to be joined by His Majesties later today in dance to officially mark the end of the second day of the festival.
