HLUTI – Hosea Member of Parliament (MP) Sifiso Mabuza has donated six soccer balls to Nsiginzini Hotspurs, in appreciation of their contribution in the development of football under the Shiselweni Region.

Mabuza said he would be handing over the soccer balls before the start of the pre-season. He was part of the guest during the club’s End of Season Awards held at RDA Hall, Hluti on Sunday (May 26, 2024).

He is expected to spend around E15 000 as each professional soccer ball costs not less than E2 500.

Minister of Tinkhundla and Administration Sikhumbuzo Dlamini said Nsingizini Hotspurs was the pride of the Shiselweni Region.

“Between 2018 and 2023 while I was not the Member of Parliament, I was part of the board at Nsingizini Hotspurs. I was always behind the team and I am happy is has hugely developed and now among the top teams in the country,” he said.

Dlamini said football was one of the sporting codes that brought people together. That was the reason why they were fully behind the club.

The Club President Derrick Shiba thanked all the sponsors who had come out and assisted the team in achieving its goals.
He said they had set his targets and they would be going outside the country (South Africa) for pre-season camp, in preparations of the new season set to start in August. He said they would be visiting places like Phongola South Africa after the support they got from the mayor of that town.
