MBABANE– The Government and the Kingdom of Eswatini stand to benefit in the 6th Transform Africa Summit commencing today.

This comes after His Majesty King Mswati III left the country yesterday for the 6th Transform Africa Summit to be held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, from April 26 to April 28, 2023.

His Majesty is also expected to visit Bulawayo for a State visit and open the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2023. He is accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMatsebula.

The Transform Africa Summit is Africa’s leading annual forum bringing together global and regional leaders from government, business and international organisations to collaborate on new ways of shaping, accelerating and sustaining Africa’s on-going digital revolution.

During this summit His Majesty will learn and discuss the role of Government in Unlocking the Digital Economy.

Melinda Hiralwani from Harare said, a lot was going to be discussed and presented. She said as part of the panel they were looking forward to meeting the Heads of state.

“The Smart Africa Digitalization Acceleration Program (SADAP) aims to support member states in their national digital transformation programs to improve digital inclusion and socio-economic benefits.

“In collaboration with the Digital Impact Alliance at the United Nations Foundation, SADAP conducted a benchmarking study in 10 member countries, identifying gaps and needs. Based on their findings, Smart Africa and UNF/DIAL agreed to jointly support the Governments of all countries,” she said.

In addition to that she said, In 2021, DIAL/UNF and Smart Africa supported the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Information and Communications to co-create solutions to address the identified needs. They are also organising a peer learning workshop to validate and learn from peers on the case study of Sierra Leone during Transform Africa in a closed session of invited country representatives and other stakeholders.
