MBABANE – Local hip-hop artist Young Zesh will drop his latest song, titled Ungangikhaleli which translates to don’t cry for me this week.
The song will drop on Friday. It is produced by Liz Harris. Mixed and mastered by Sean Cast HQ.
Young Zesh, born Mzwandile Comfort Ginindza 23 years ago, is from Somnjalose. He is now based in South Africa, in Johannesburg. He is the brain behind the record-breaking song titled KaKhoza. He started his journey back in 2011.
When reached for comment, he said, “In the new song, I’m acknowledging the presence of numerous adversaries in my life. I emphasise that even though I face a multitude of enemies, including those who doubt my talent, I don’t want anyone to shed tears for me. “
He added, “This sentiment reflects my resilience and determination to succeed in the face of adversity. Despite the perception of my financial stability on social media, I reveal that I am still striving to achieve my desired level of success.”
According to the hip-hop artist, there are no visuals for now, but he is looking forward to working on visuals. When asked what to do next after this project, he said, “I am working on another single and music videos until I drop my project on the third of May.
When asked which local artist he would love to work with, he said, “In the country, I go with Velemseni; she is very special and different, while she is the best performer. Globally, there are many, but I will stick with Davido because I’m inspired by his journey. Nigerians are proud of him; he brought hope to everyone, especially those in the industry.”
Young Zesh went on to share the challenges of the industry and said, “Music, it’s war; you have to be strong to face whatever outcomes. Music needs people with power and positivity because this is a journey that will take you even 10 to 15 years to come. As time goes on, things change, so artists should stick to promoting their stuff on all social media platforms.”
It is worth mentioning that this will be Young Zesh’s second album. He dropped his first album, titled Ligcebesha, in July 2022.
He concluded by sharing that it was his dream to work with South African legend Sjava. “I want to do a collaboration with him for the love of African music; he’s the best.”
He performed at the MTN Bushfire Festival last year with his brother, Lyrikal Busta. According to the artists, they were able to make the crowd jump and listen attentively to our music.
