LOZITHA – His Majesty King Mswati III has promised to one day tell the nation how he feels when praise singers sing his praises.

The King was responding to a request forwarded to him by Reverend Nhlanhla Hlatjwako, who asked him to share how he felt when praise singer sang his praises. This happened today during the National Prayer at Mandvulo Grand Hall in Lozitha Palace. Hlatjwako was the Programme Director at the event.

Hlatjwako, with a broad smile, requested the King to share his feeling because King David of the Israelites once shared the feeling in the Bible. According to Hlatjwako, King David felt great when such a thing happened. It was for this reason why Hlatjwako asked King Mswati III to also share his feeling.

Hlatjwako’s request was not expected by anyone at the event, hence they all went to stitches of laughter when Hlatjwako asked. Even the King himself laughed hysterically when he heard that request. He was still sitting in the hall at that time, listening to sermons rendered by certain religious leaders who had been tasked to do the job.

During his time to preach, the King stated that he heard the request by the programme director. When he mentioned that, the attendants also went in stitches. The King further said he had difficulty in attending to that request because he had not prepared himself for that question.

The King reminded the programme director and all those who followed the event that for the past three months, he had been enclosed in a building, where he could not speak or do anything.

He said as he was sitting and listening to the sermons, he could hear that those who rendered the Word of God had the opportunity to go to church. However, even though he could not go to church, he knew that the nation could be safe if they continued to seek the presence of God.

The King advised that Emaswati should desperately want to do God’s will and avoid being distracted by what others were saying. He said the religious leaders who said the nation should look unto Jesus were true.
