… Jam-packed marathon season begins with Epilepsy Half Marathon on Saturday

ATHLETICS – After a two-year absence, the Imbube Marathon will return this year.
Athletics Eswatini (AE) Chief Operations Officer (COO) Thoba Mazibuko released a jam-packed marathon season scheduled with the absence of the Financial Service Regulatory Authority (FSRA) Half Marathon. Marathon events were brought to halt after the first case of COVID-19 was reported in the country in March 2020.
Imbube Marathon is the biggest marathon event which attracts runners from across the globe and is financially backed by Eswatini National Provident Fund. The pioneer of the race is His Majesty King Mswati III and proceeds from the marathon are donated to different needy schools across the country.
The marathon season begin this weekend with the Epilepsy Half Marathon scheduled for Sikhuphe. The season will also have the second edition of the Vusi Masuku Half Marathon and the legendary Tuff One Half Marathon organised by Golden Foot Club.
