…now with E660 000 worth of sponsorship

MBABANE– If you had doubts about joining Imbube Marathon you may want to relook your decision as sponsors keep pumping in money.
The sponsorship package for this year’s Imbube Marathon continues to increase with an additional E130 000 having been pumped in.
The package now stands at E660 000. Four new corporate companies made their donation during the Imbube Marathon press conference held at Happy Valley Hotel yesterday.
Prior to the additional funds, Standard Bank retained its status as the main sponsor of the race with a package of ENPF staff and the various corporate companies who paid E350 000.
They were followed by Stefanutti Stocks with E100 000 while Old Mutual Eswatini put in E50 000.
Manzini Municipal Council contributed E20 000 and Build it Eswatini donated E10 000 for this year’s edition, to put the total amount at E530 000.
The companies which contributed yesterday are Ubombo Sugar (E50 000), Inhlonhla (E35 000), Unifoods Eswatini (E20 000) and the Industrial Development Company of Eswatini (E25 000).
Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) Chairman of the Board of Trustees Director Mduduzi Gina confirmed the additional sponsorships and further thanked all the corporates for coming to the party.
“The funds raised during the race would also go towards helping other grassroots programmes around the country which were supported by the ENPF,” he said.
The race will be held on October 1, 2023, and the Imbube Marathon has now joined the illustrious ranks of races that are recognised by the World Athletics and will be used as a qualifier for other
The marathon has had three of its categories, namely the 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km races all being recognised by the World Athletics governing body.
