This year, the fast-growing and highly anticipated event in the country is bringing South African award-winning music giant Master KG, real name Kgaoli Moagi.

Master KG, who is the name behind the hit ‘Jerusalem’, will be performing at the rally which is slated for May 5, 6, and 7, 2023.

Impisi Rally was established in 2019 and it was instantly given the name ‘Impisi’ as it emanates from its founders, the Hyena Motor Cycle Club.

When sought for comment, the motorcycle club’s Founding Member Sive Masuku detailed that the Hyena Motor Cycle Club was founded in 2012 by brothers and a group of friends who got interested in riding bikes and starting a club that would concentrate mostly on charity work.

“One main goal of the Impisi Rally is to bring bikers together, either from different clubs or solo riders. It is also our main aim to raise funds in order to continue with our charity work and promote tourism in Eswatini, since most Bikers come from our different neighboring countries- mainly South Africa and Mozambique. The rally is awareness to the public as well on road safety and that everyone can join and become a biker (sic),” said Masuku.

When asked what would be different this year, the Spokesperson said the event would be hosted at Mavuso Trade Centre to appeal to a larger crowd this year and to mitigate transport issues.

“Members of the public should expect a great deal of fun, socializing, and much entertainment from Bikers and artists. Master KG from SA and other performers from SA, and a lot of local artists,” he said. The third now annual Impisi Rally starts Friday, May 5 to May 7 at a price of E200 for the weekend.
