Johnson shared with this publication that the objective of the event was to preserve and showcase traditional music and dance. He said, “The event aims at showing the importance of indigenous music as a vehicle to take us through from the past to the present. Indigenous music is a tool for communication as well as a tool for teaching values to our people.”

It also seeks to teach that indigenous music is not only played for entertainment but also to teach and guide people to live according to the accepted standards in society.

On the line-up is Thabo Arts, who is an author and poet well known in South Africa. According to the organisers, Thabo Arts has confirmed his coming to the kingdom. He promised Emaswati a very lovely and memorable performance. The performances that will also take place include poetry, dancing, fashion shows, music, and other entertainment activities from local artists. The Maphiko Cultural group will also perform their interesting cultural dances for the audience, so cultural heritage will thus be preserved.

The event will also host the Miss Culture International organisers, who will come for the crowning of Noncedo Mamba, who became the runner-up in the title that was held in Johannesburg recently. This will motivate and inspire other models to seek to be the best when they take part in any competition. The organisers of Miss Culture International are also bringing good news for emaSwati that will be unveiled on the big day.

Johnson also stated that they are also expecting the director of Men’s Health magazine from Johannesburg, who is also bringing a golden package for the Eswatini Creativity Platform. The event will also see the launch of an event that will be held in August in Eswatini.

Tickets are sold at E50 and will also be available at the entrance.
