MBABANE– The long-awaited moment for the Mamba clan is around the corner.
The newly-blessed Ndushulweni Chief, who doubles as Inkhosi of the Mamba clan, Inkhosi Umntfwana Maloyi III, will, for the first time, address the Ngudzeni Clan on November 19, 2022.
His address comes after he was blessed by His Majesty King Mswati III about a month ago at Ludzidzini Royal Residence. The Mamba clan leader was blessed among 49 other chiefs who are from different parts of the country.
According to an invitation card which was disbursed, the chieftaincy will be presenting Inkhosi Yaka Mamba Maloyi III to the clan of the Mambas.
The event will be held at Embelebeleni Royal Kraal in Ngudzeni.
Confirming the event was Ndushulweni Bucopho Vukani Msibi, who said the 19-year-old Inkhosi will be making his first address there.
Worth noting is that the Ndushulweni umphakatsi is under the Ngudzeni Inkhundla in the Shiselweni Region.
About three weeks ago, it was revealed to this publication that the Inkhosi will enrol in tertiary.
Msibi, speaking on behalf of the chief and his family, said they still considered him young for him to make comment to the media.
“Inkhosi Maloyi III will definitely be enrolling in college soon and this is simply because we live in an era where chiefs and leaders, in general, need a qualification.
“As we did in the past, we will not reveal where he would be enrolling because of security reasons,” said the bucopho.
Msibi revealed that Inkhosi Maloyi III was about to turn 19 years this year and he completed high school last year, just when he was revealed as Inkhosi of the Mamba clan.
When asked how the young leader of the Mamba’s would execute his duties as chief, he said he was surrounded by elders who would assist him and teach him the values and history of the clan first.
“Bandlancane (Inner Council), will play a pivotal role in grooming Inkhosi Maloyi III because he still very young and was from school when he was introduced to the system,” he said.
When asked who will oversee the chiefdom while the Inkhosi is still in college, the bucopho said his grandmother, Inkhosikati Nabomntfwana, born Princess Hleziphi, will carry out the chiefly duties on behalf of his grandson.
“The Inkhosi has been under Inkhosikati Nabomtfwana’s wing since his parent passed on. Nothing has changed,” said Msibi.
It was also revealed that Inkhosi Maloyi III is set for ummemo now that he was blessed by His Majesty King Mswati III, along with the other 49 chiefs.
Inkhosi Maloyi III is one of the youngest traditional leaders in the country and he has been trending for his charming looks on social media.
Efforts to get comment from Ngudzeni MP proved to be futile.
