MBABANE – The four schools that will battle for the final spots in the Instacash Schools Ball Games have promised fireworks.

The national semi-finals will be played tomorrow (Friday, June 14, 2024) at Mayaluka Stadium with Ndzangu High (Lubombo Region) first to take centre stage against Evelyn Baring High (Shiselweni Region at 10am.  Next will be Manzini Central High (Manzini) playing Elangeni High School (Hhohho Region) in the second semi-final at noon.

The winners will then battle for the championship on June 21 at a venue yet to be confirmed.

Manzini Central High School Sports Teacher Mduduzi ‘Mr G’ Ginindza said it has been an easy journey for them as they never lost a match since the tournament started.

“We promise to bring fireworks in the game. We have not lost even a single game since the tournament started. It’s been a nice and easy journey. The Lubombo region must come out to support our future stars and support the sponsor,” he said.

Elangeni High School Sport Teacher Njabulo Nhlabatsi said his team has not fully recovered after playing two games on Tuesday in the regional semi-finals and finals.

“We are physically disadvantaged after playing two games on Tuesday, but we are not complaining. We are ready to take the field and give it our all. We have one more hurdle to overcome and we are laser-focused on advancing to the finals,” he said.

Evelyn Baring High School Sports Teacher Themba Mamba said he was confident on his team.

“We excel in everything. We see ourselves in the finals and lifting the trophy. Anything less than that is a huge failure in our school,” he said.

Ndzangu High School Sports Teacher Mduduzi Shongwe expressed their readiness for their upcoming game.

“We are always ready since we have been playing every week. The boys have gained confidence, so it is going to be a very good and entertaining game. We see ourselves advancing to the finals,” he said.
