This is according to a statement which was released by Inyatsi Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Hamilton.

Hamilton said their cycling race had grown impressively over the years, attracting athletes from across the world since its inception in 2012 and this year marked its 8th edition.

“Like other sporting events, it was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic which came with restrictions that limited many activities. With Inyatsi commemorating 40 years of existence this year, the industrious Chairman of the Inyatsi Group Michelo Shakantu, continues to be passionate about the wellness of not only the Inyatsi staff but all citizens of Eswatini which is why the event returns this year,” said Hamilton.

The CEO further said it must be mentioned that this event was not only helping in wellness matters but also promoted and boosted the tourism sector as it brought participants from outside the country.

“It provides a perfect platform to showcase the beauty of the Kingdom of Eswatini,” said Hamilton.

He said cyclists were notified that there would be collection of goodie bags on Friday, September 16, between 12pm and 5pm at the Gables in Ezulwini.

“As of today, about 50 cyclists have registered for the race and registration is still open for those who would like to register. The registration exercise will close tomorrow. Registration can be done on any of our online platforms, through the website www.inyatsiconstruction.africa and company social media platforms,” said the CEO.

Hamilton also disclosed that race categories start from 10km to 65km.

“We are very much alive to the fact that this event would not be a success without our sponsors, hence their support is very much appreciated. The door is still open for companies who may be interested in sponsoring the event through our marketing department.

“Last but not least, we are grateful to the Cycling Association of Eswatini and all stakeholders for working together to make this event a success,” said the Inyatsi Group CEO.
