MBABANE: Love is a beautiful thing!

Former Joyous Celebration and Crown Gospel Award winner Londiwe Sphe Nxumalo went from being Miss to Mrs;  after Sabelo Sangweni ‘snatched’ her out of the market.

The Ngenzelwe Isimanga artist shared with this publication that it all started with a USB. “He called on my business number to buy a USB. Months later, it was my birthday, and he asked me out so he could give me a gift to celebrate my birthday. I agreed, and that was it,” and the rest is history, said the Gospel artist.

Nxumalo shared that her husband is from Dumbe in Paulpietersburg, South Africa. The lobola ceremony took place at her uncle’s place in Nelspruit over the weekend. According to the artist, the ceremony was attended by family members and a few friends.

Nxumalo last month bagged her first Crown Gospel Award for her song titled Uphakeme kakhulu. It’s worth mentioning that Nxumalo left Joyous Celebration back in 2020, just after COVID-19 hit. Her hit song, Ngenzelwe Isimanga, has been a massive success until today.

The award winner was born in Pongolo but grew up in Eswatini. She later moved back to Pongolo to complete her studies. She is the founder of An Iron Sharpens and Iron, which organises prayer camps to motivate prayer as a culture. She was introduced to the industry through a feature with Mxolisi Mbethe on a song titled Hosanna. She later joined the Joyous Celebration in 2017, where she sang a song titled Njengendluzela, and adding to that, she performed her first song titled Akhonamandla. She has recorded an album titled Ngenzelwe ‘Isimanga, which was released on July 17, 2020. This album refers to her testimony, has been re-recorded as a live project with additional new songs, and was published on February 25 last year.
