MBABANE – The tickets for the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers 2023 match between Eswatini and Togo are now on sale.
The game will take place at Mbombela Stadium in South Africa on June 18, 2023 at 3 pm. Eswatini will be hoping to keep their slim chances of qualifying for next year’s continental tournament alive by beating their West African opponents.
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has announced that the tickets are priced at E50, during the Monday breakfast sports show on Eswatini Broadcasting Services (EBIS).
It was mentioned that the tickets can be purchased from Computickets.
The EFA Marketing and Communications Officer, Muzi Radebe, said that they would also make arrangements to have some tickets available at the stadium on the day of the match.
In addition, he said fans who are interested in travelling to the neighbouring country to support Dominic Kunene’s men will have to pay E370.
This fee excludes the gate entry fee. Eswatini National Supporters Committee (ENCA) Chairman Menzi ‘Madlakadlaka’ Dladla explained that the price was higher than that of the previous trip, which was against Cape Verde, because the transport would return at night, hence the need to take fans close to their homes.
“Close to 50 fans had travelled in the previous trip. Supporters who are interested in travelling to Mbombela Stadium can express their interest by contacting Treasurer Philile Simelane at 7652 1913 alternatively 76952 1913,” he said.
Worth noting is that Eswatini is third in Group B with two points from four games. They still have a chance of qualifying if they win their remaining fixtures against Togo and Burkina Faso, who have already secured their spot as group leaders.
