…Focusing on priority areas like education

MBABANE – “Japan has been deeply committed to contributing to Eswatini’s priority areas such as education, healthcare, agriculture, food security and climate change through technical assistance, Grant Aid, and Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project.”
These were sentiments shared by Ambassador of Japan to Eswatini Ushio Shigeru. He said this when handing over letters of credence to His Majesty King Mswati III.
His Majesty King Mswati III received letters of credence from the Ambassador of Japan to Eswatini, Ushio Shigeru and India High Commissioner to Eswatini Ram Prasad at Lozitha Palace respectively.
Prasad said India’s relationship with the Kingdom of Eswatini is close, friendly and cordial.
“We wholeheartedly thank Your Majesty for the kind gift of a plot of land for constructing the High Commission,” he said.
Meanwhile his Majesty said Japan has assisted Eswatini in a number of crucial areas and strongly believe their relationship will continue to grow.
“I hope you will invite Japanese tourists and business people to come and explore opportunities in the Kingdom,”, said his Majesty.
To India he said their support in Agriculture, ICT and Health towards emaSwati was highly appreciated.
“The invaluable support offered by India during the COVID-19 era did not go unnoticed. We therefore commit to assist India in its multilateral aspirations.,” he said.
