MBABANE – Junior Achievement (JA) Eswatini Executive Director Phetsile Masilela congratulated her predecessor Siboniso Madlopha on his recent appointment as vice president of JA Africa.
According to information gathered by this publication Madlopha has rejoined Junior Achievement as Vice President Operations (VPO) for JA Africa. The regional headquarters of JA Africa are situated in Ghana. Madlopha is former executive Director of JA Eswatini.
It is stated that after leaving JA Eswatini as Executive Director in 2020, Madlopha served Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) as Marketing Manager, before joining Young Heroes as Private Partnership Engagement LEAD. Madlopha’s appointment is with effect from April 2024.
Madlopha’s new role encompasses an impressive array of responsibilities, among which are the strategic management of finance, human resources, legal affairs, risk compliance, and digital strategy. A key component of his responsibilities will be providing guidance and development opportunities to his team, fostering an environment of continued growth and excellence.
He will also ensure that member nation Boards are well-informed, active, and accountable in fulfilling their fiduciary duties. Madlopha will further facilitate and support Board Committees in the execution of their responsibilities, championing a culture of excellence and commitment to the highest standards of governance
Madlopha who is elated on his appointment said re-joining JA was such a fresh breeze as he understands the culture and values of JA. Madlopha who will be working between Ghana and Eswatini said part of his many responsibilities at JA Africa will be to work with all JA member nations ensuring their statutory & financial compliance with JA Worldwide Member Agreement, JA Africa Regional Operating Agreement, and laws and policies of their respective governments.
Madlopha is an experienced executive who has been a member of ESWADE Board of Directors, Board Member and Finance Audit subcommittee Chairman of JA Eswatini Board, Member of MTN Foundation Board of Directors, National Leader of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Eswatini and has attended 5 international Forums of Youth Entrepreneurship Development.
