When reached for comment, Jumbo shared with this publication that the first edition of the festival was held in 2018. He said, “This year there will be a karaoke session. The awards ceremony and after-party event will be at the same venue, so the festival will be 6pm to 6am.”

According to Khumalo, the venue has not yet been secured, but it will be confirmed soon.

When asked why people should attend the festival, he said, “The Jumbo Festival is a socio-corporate event where the working class and small business owners meet and greet. What’s good about it is that it is not too casual where decent people can’t feel comfortable, and at the same time, it’s not too formal to an extent where it can be boring.”

It is worth mentioning that Jumbo recently launched his book titled ‘The Winning Tips for Hustlers, at the Sibane Sami Hotel. The book is inspired by his journey of dropping out of university and venturing into entrepreneurship. Khumalo’s book is a trove of practical advice and hard-won wisdom. His personal experience and the lessons he learned from his successes and failures form the basis of his powerful guide for those seeking to build their personal brand and achieve success.

Early this year, he also launched his online magazine, ‘See You at the Top,’ on January 31.

It is worth mentioning that Jumbo boasts over 72 000 followers on Facebook. He is also an MC, influencer, author, columnist, mentor, and founder of the Jumbo Festival.

According to Khumalo, See You at the Top Magazine is an extension of the Jumbo Festival concept, and the slogan for the festival is ‘See You at the Top.’ Hence, he decided to name the magazine after the festival’s slogan. The name is a motivational tagline that encourages people to work their way to the top of their different careers.
