…song was recorded in the last Spirit of Hip Hop

MBABANE – Wordsmith and rapper Psycholution will be featured in a song with South African rapper Khuli Chana.
The two worked together and recorded the said song in 2019 during the second edition of The Spirit of Hip Hop, held at Esibayeni Lodge.
This was revealed by Melusi Zox Dlamini who is one of the Executive Producers, and behind the scenes in putting together the Spirit of Hip Hop event.
“During the last Spirit of Hip Hop, we were so lucky to get Lution in the studio with Khuli Chana. The song will be dropping anytime soon and we are looking forward to it,” said Dlamini.
He further said, this would act as a build up to the Spirit of Hip Hop which will be taking place on July 29, 2023 at the Albert Millin.
Worth mentioning is that, Khuli Chana rose to fame after releasing his major successful album Motswakoriginator, which infuses both the Setswana and English languages. Motswako is a mixture of both languages and the sound and style of music originates from Mafikeng, a small town in the North West Province.
In 2014, Chana was nominated for Most Valuable Artist and Video of the Year at 2014 South African Hip Hop Awards.
He has shared a stage with Canadian rapper Drake, as an opening act. Khuli Chana partnered with vodka brand Absolut as one of their ambassadors for the South Africa market.
Khuli Chana was nearly killed when members of the South African police mistook him for a criminal and proceeded to fire nine bullets at his vehicle
Meanwhile, Psycholution is a young gifted wordsmith hailing from the Kingdom of Eswatini. He possesses a great skill in songwriting thus making him one of the best songwriters in the country.
He raps in English and Siswati languages fused with lyrics that touch many people’s lives. He is known for exhibiting an amazing talent of creativity when it comes to storytelling and skillful word play in his music. He was once signed to Claiming Ground Records.
In 2009, he released an E.P. titled ‘The Psycho-tik Revolution E.P.’. This was followed by the formation of a music collective called L.I.T. (Labahambako In- Transit). Other members included Qibho Intalektual, Crax and Dj Mos-Feb 02
He has worked with some of the country’s best musicians such as Tihlabani, award winning producer Mozaik alongside talented artists like Velemseni, Siyinqaba, Tiyas, Nomalungelo and Tque.
Psycholution owns a music company called PsychoLutionMusic. He releases his music under this recording stable. In 2011, he released a mixtape titled ‘LookOut4Dis-script-tion’. The music project served as a prelude to his debut album titled ‘Dis-script-tion’. In 2013, he released the ‘Dis-script-tion’ album.
