MANKAYANE – His Majesty King Mswati III has delivered developmental projects for Mankayane and other areas of the country.
The projects include the Nhlangano-Sicunusa Road, Nhlangano Mini Bus Station, and the Luyengo-Mhlabubovu Road (which is refurbished).
Delivering his speech today during his birthday celebrations at Mankayane Sports Ground, His Majesty the King was pleased with the positive developments that would improve the lives of the people of Mankayane and surrounding areas.
The King said the Nhlangano-Sicunusa Road was almost complete and what remained was the markings of the road. He said he was also informed that people were already using it and it was at par with other highways in the country.
His Majesty the King was encouraged to hear that the public was also happy with the road. He was also happy with the fact that the road was going to make access to Magubheleni Clinic to be easy, making it easy for people to access good health care.
He also mentioned that the Nhlangano Mini Bus Station, which was opposite the Nhlangano factory shells, was going to benefit public transport workers and the general public. The bus station, although not in Mankayane, is going to help the residents of that town to easily access Nhlangano, as they use the Nhlangano-Sicunusa Road to access the Shiselweni Region’s biggest town.
The Mahlanya-Mhlabubovu Road is used by the people of Mankayane who want to access the country’s two biggest cities – Manzini and Mbabane. Some of the residents frequently go to these cities for work or business. Some use this road to access towns such as Malkerns and Matsapha.
