EZULWINI – His Majesty King Mswati III wants the Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE) complex to be finished within seven years.
The King said this yesterday (May 10, 2024) when delivering his speech during the Golden Jubilee celebration of the CBE, as well as the sod cutting exercise, marking the beginning of the construction of the complex.
Delivering his speech, His Majesty said he wanted to know from Mnisi about the duration of the project. He said Mnisi promised him that all the four phases of the project would take seven years to complete.
The King said he would hold Mnisi to account regarding that promise. The project would take place within a 21-hactare site that was purchased by the CBE.
The site used to house Ezulwini Sun Hotel. On the site, the CBE plans to construct a state-of-the-art headquarters of the bank. The complex will include, among other things, an 18-storey building, clinic, conference facilities, and sports facilities.
