MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III not only endorsed the Luke Commission but further showed immense gratitude to the hospital.
“We have heard many emaSwati speaking highly of your commendable work. You have saved many lives, siyabonga kakhulu. Your love and care for those who come here to seek support is highly appreciated.” said His Majesty.
He further congratulated and commended the Luke Commission for the selfless service they render to emaSwati and for bringing creative solutions and best-in-class innovations to the Kingdom of Eswatini.
“We encourage continued cooperation between TLC and the Ministry of Health to ensure that we have a database in Eswatini to help ensure that everyone in the country can go to any hospital and be found and known,” said the King.
It was also mentioned that on average, the TLC team serves nearly 1 000 patients daily. The hospital has 150 beds and each with an oxygen port and operates 24/7 at no charge to the patients.
This commendable effort has been made possible through the leadership of Harry and Echo Vanderwal, who were touched by God and directed their purpose to serve the lives of emaSwati.
His Majesty said it was gratifying to note that the centre has graduated over 1 100 participants who have learned about a culture of compassionate care alongside others on the TLC team.
