MBABANE – The Ministry of Home Affairs has confirmed that preparations for the upcoming King Mswati III’s 56th birthday celebration are 80 percent complete and are progressing according to schedule.
After a productive meeting with stakeholders involved in the organisation of the 56th King’s Birthday celebration in Mankayane, Minister of Home Affairs HRH Princess Lindiwe was satisfied with the progress of the preparations. The team visited the stadium and reported that they were 80 percent complete and on track to host Their Majesties and the nation next week Friday.
Princess Lindiwe expressed her excitement about the upcoming celebration and highlighted that the people of Mankayane and the nation as a whole would have the opportunity to express their pride in their culture.
She emphasised that the King’s birthday would be an opportunity for the nation to show their love and support for His Majesty. The Minister further noted that this celebration would be a special moment for everyone to come together and celebrate the King’s life and reign.
The Minister emphasised the importance of respectful and courteous behaviour at the King’s birthday celebration, noting that Emaswati are known for their respectful and dignified nature.
She advised those who are planning to attend to follow instructions from those in charge and to cooperate with one another. The Minister urged everyone to remember that the celebration is a special and important event, and that everyone’s behaviour should reflect that.
