MBABANE – It’s the holiday of giving, and Korrosive is back again with a new track titled Lalela which dropped today.
The artist recently announced in his social media about his new release, where he breaks boundaries into the Amapiano space. Born Soncoba Mavimbela hinted at the drop three weeks ago when he went live on his Instagram playing an Amapiano beat, which his fans suggested he flowed on. He did a little freestyle on it live, and fans loved it, and that’s where the idea of dropping an Amapiano track came from.
The festive season also motivated the artist to release a vibey sound for the summer, and Amapiano was the right choice. When reached for comment, he said, “I decided to drop the song because a lot of people liked how I sound on Amapiano beats, especially because of my trap flows and lingo; they aren’t usual on Amapiano, and I guess my supporters were amazed by that. The song is titled Lalela, and already fans are using it as a hashtag, and that’s really amazing,” the artist mentioned.
Korrosive also gave props to the producers who made the song come alive, namely Loui and Alex Muti. “Both producers really helped a lot as they shared their technical experience with the sound, and together with my song writing skills, we came up with a full song in a short space of time. Even though it was my first Amapiano attempt, it’s crazy how people love the song snippets on social media,” said Korrosive.
Korrosive also touched on how he wants to share his musical writing skills with willing artists, as over the years, he has gained experience on how to merge sounds and produce music. “I have actually written a couple of songs in different genres, including Amapiano, and I’m looking forward to working with a few artists locally to produce quality music.” Korrosive revealed.
Korrosive also mentioned that the song’s music video is already shot and will drop early next year. His team, Puzxel Creations, also encouraged fans to keep their eyes glued to the artist’s social media as the song will be released today.
