MBABANE– Talented young and upcoming artist Korrosive is releasing his much anticipated single ‘Kwasani’.
The single will be released tomorrow and available on all streaming platforms.
This was revealed by the young rapper during an interview with this publication where he mentioned that the ‘Kwasani’ song is produced by Metrognom808 and features Korrosive’s signature trap sound that fuses African elements and Western trap sounds.
One would know that the urban slang definition of ‘Kwasani’ means everything, more or a lot.
He said the inspiration behind the song is the desire for more and the perseverance to have more.
“As an artist, I have always seen myself as someone who can have more of what I want in the industry. Hence the hook references more shows, more fashionable clothes, more respect,” he said.
In addition to that, he said the basis of the song is encouragement for everyone to persevere for more and get more because everyone deserves a lot of what they desire.
Worth noting is that, the rapper teased the new song at his MTN Bushfire Festival performance last year and his fans have been hungry for the song ever since.
“Kwasani is a turn-up song which I hope my fans will enjoy, it’s jam-packed with nice lingo and vernacular flows,” the rapper explained.
Korrosive has been setting the bar in terms of his international sound and this landed him an opportunity to share the stage with Makhadzi and Master KG last year.
He also mentioned that more is to come as he has been frequently sharing live Instagram videos of him and his producer jamming unreleased songs.
The young trapper also highlighted that he has international collaborations coming soon and ‘Kwasani’ is just the beginning. “ My supporters must be glued to my social media platforms as I’m about to drop new content. My recent project SWALIEN is doing well because of my fans and I appreciate it,” he said in addition.
