MBABANE – Early Bird Tickets Sold!
The rush to attend the fourth edition of the much-loved show Kuguga Othandayo 60’s Vintage Party has seen early bird tickets sell out two months before the event.
When reached for comment, the brains behind the concept Philanthropist and Artist Illa Penboy shared with this publication that general tickets are still available at Galitos for E200, and they will also be sold at the gate for E300.
This year, which will be held on August 3 at the Sibane Sami Hotel, the show is scheduled to start at 12pm and last until the next morning. He said, “The demand for the tickets for Kuguga Othandayo shows that people love the concept. Even though there are no artists performing at the event, People get to meet each other in a humble way, where there is no completion of dressing up.”
Born Sifiso Ndlangamandla, Illa Penboy shared with this publication that the pressure of wearing expensive labels at events is one of the reasons that makes going out expensive, hence the concept.
He also shared that cooler boxes will be allowed at E100, but they must be cans only.
This year, more activities have been added that were not there in the previous edition, such as a vintage fleet of cars from our neighbouring friends in the North West Province of South Africa. A fashion show as well as traditional food tastings.
Those attending have been advised to bring the following;
- Bring your cooler box.
- Bring your vintage outfit.
- Bring your vintage car.
- Bring your sleeping mat.
- Bring your vintage items.
- Strictly old-school music.
- Best-dressed male.
- Best-dressed female.
