MBABANE – Eswatini Development Finance Corporation (FINCORP) has awarded E20 000 sponsorship to the overall winner of the Smallholder Sugarcane Growers Competition, Khwanyani Investments.
The Eswatini Sugar Association (ESA) held the competition last week at the Phumlamcashi Community Training Centre in Siphofaneni.
According to their Facebook page, FINCORP has congratulated all the winners of the competition who happen to be clients of the Corporation. The winners are Khwanyani Investments, Ben Ngcamphalala, Lobovu Farmers, Mabovane, Bamoyamunye, Sara Maziya and Thandi Qwabe.
It is said that the sponsorship was given to Khwanyani Investments to attend a three-week Junior Certificate Course in Sugarcane Husbandry which is offered by the South African Sugarcane Research Institute (SASRI). It was also mentioned that this amount of money is supposed to cover Tuition fees, accommodation and meals for Khwanyani Investments.
The Corporation also made a post appreciating the winners for choosing to work with them as their business partners.
