KWESTA REPLACES MORDA FOR EPIC GIG FESTIVAL

MALKERNS – It wouldn’t be an Epic Gig Festival without Kwesta!

South African Rapper and Songwriter Kwesta, born Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi, will replace SA dancer, singer, talented DJ, and record producer Morda, born Bongani Mohosana, for the fifth edition of the Epic Gig Festival.

Epic Gig Festival Director Tammy ‘Toxik’ Dlamini confirmed the latest development on Friday. Dlamini shared with this publication that Morda accepted another gig two weeks after confirming with them. Morda was revealed in the phase two line-up on May 12.

It is worth noting that Kwesta has performed at all previous Epic Gig Festivals since its inception. The fifth edition of the Epic Gig Festival will be held at Malkerns Country Club on June 28–29.

Kwesta’s most reputable accolades include six South African Music Awards, four South African Hip Hop Awards, one MTV Africa Music Award, and one Metro FM.

The fifth edition of the festival line-up includes; South African Hip-Hop artists Emtee, Maglera Doe Boy, Nkosazana Daughter, Pearl Thusi, Buffalo Souljah, Aubrey Qwana, School Boy Que, Sne, Toxik, Eemoh, Imacsoul, Mayeem, Chantel, AyaCity, M Nation, Mickey M 1632, Trend Twins, Sir Teazy, Smaggz, Maradonna, Maphi, Khuni, Pearl, Just Fisiwe, Cnatra, Its All Blaq, and Bisto.
The Epic Gig concept was founded in 2017 by Tammy Toxic Dlamini, who wanted to have a show with a rich line-up that was epic, which has maintained its consistency with a rich line-up for the last four festivals.

Last year’s festival saw South African artists like Kwesta, YoungstaCPT, Mlindo the Vocalist, Blxckie Maglera Doe Boi, 25K, A Reece, and Aymos perform. Local artists included Toxik, Rowen The Vth, Fantacy, Tella, Aya City, Bu The Drum, Sir Teazy, Tilungu, Kangaroo, Itsallblaq, Bay Bash, The Bishops, DJExpo, Bisto, and Eimsofy, and many more, including The Freshmen.
