MBABANE – “Material things aren’t to be used as weapons of mass destruction to other people’s lives.”

This is what local artist LauraH M said is the message behind his new single, ‘GTI Gang’. The rapper, real name Lawrence Mdluli, is releasing his latest single tomorrow.

Speaking about the single, LauraH M explained who the song is for.

“It is made for everyone who uses whatever he possesses to buy his way into being thought of as cool because all of that can go go wrong in a snap of a finger. It addresses the downside of it,” explained LauraH M.

“For so long now, GTi or Polo owners have been considered cancerous to relationships. Once a GTi owner comes closer to your girl just know that she’s gone, that has always been the thought. That reputation drove me to address how dangerous it is for you  if someone isn’t happy about your life because it has caused him pain and how someone is willing to go for sabotage upon your life. That is how some men have been feeling towards GTi owners. So I took it upon myself to address them about how dangerous it is,” said Laura M when discussing what the song is about.

‘GTI Gang’ also features local artist MastaMongi.

“MastaMongi on the other hand, offers these owners a handful of advice on how to conduct their lives at this stage of Self made success,” explained LauraH M.

LauraH M is a versatile rapper whose rhymes are more socially designed. His rap is mostly the conscious type made to raise awareness of certain prospects in life. Even with familiar prospects, he addresses them with pure rhythm and poetry in a manner so relatable to the listener and the public at large.

“This single is a taste of what’s yet to come from his debut album entitled SIBANE SAMI which will be released later in 2024,” revealed LauraH M.
