MBABANE– It’s LKG baby!

The Amstel stage was shaken up yesterday when South African media personality Lerato Kganyako took to the stage and played for almost two hours.

Lerato Kganyago, also known as LKG, is a South African actress, model and media personality who is also known as the Queen of Soweto. She is best known for her roles in the film industry.

She was performing last night on the third and last day of the MTN Bushfire. This was the 16th edition. The 17th edition will be taking place on May 31-June 2, 2024.

Clad in an orange two-piece accessorized with perfectly laid curly hair, the DJ has everyone eating from the palm of her hand. She also did not waste any time and dived right into her Amapiano and house-infused set, much to the appreciation of the crowd.

Everyone went crazy when LKG decided to extend her set and play for another good 30 minutes, it was then, that her radio bug took over and she started commentating over her set.

“Shout out to Eswatini for so much love, shout to everyone that is here packing this place up and shout out to Amstel South Africa for bringing me here,” she said.

Known for being ‘The Mother’ she went on to advise everyone in attendance and motivated them to pray more and reach for their goals, no matter what.

“May God richly bless you, bless that job, that family and that relationship. Also, can we have a huge round of applause for Uncle Waffles, that young girl is reaching for the stars and I’m happy to be in her country,” she said and cued in Uncle Waffles’s song Tanzania.

The Amstel stage throughout the MTN Bushfire was the one to look out for, including the Ballantines and Jaiger Master stage. There were acts like Heavy K, Kabza, Kitchen Mess and The Bishops that graced these stages.

Meanwhile, House on Fire Director Jiggs Thorne also took time to thank everyone who came out to support and have fun at the festival. He sent a huge shout-out to his sponsor, family, staff and everyone who played a part in putting together the festival.
