…country’s receipts increase by 102%

LOZITHA – His Majesty King Mswati III has urged SACU members of state to work hard in making SACU a success story.
“We need to steady the economy, work hard in making sure SACU is a success story. I’m happy to have seen the SACU Chairmanship this far and I think we can achieve anything we set our mind to,” said His Majesty.
He was addressing the media and other members of states during the final closing of the 8th SACU Summit.
His Majesty also mentioned that he was looking forward to visiting Lesotho and making happy memories.
“We will be going to Lesotho next and I cannot wait to go there and see what Lesotho has in store for us,” said His Majesty.
He further said the importance of SACU cannot be overemphasized as it plays a major role in the development of all SACU respective countries .
“We are pleased that we are currently experiencing positive developments in the collection of SACU receipts, which will contribute immensely to the social and economic development of our countries,” said His Majesty.
The King further highlighted that as Eswatini they are happy that, during their chairmanship all member states realized a windfall in their SACU receipts, the King said this needed to be maintained as it was positive results and standards to increase the returns even more “The Country’s receipts increased by a significant share of 102 percent compared to the previous year. It is the first time seeing such high returns, we need to make SACU a success story,” he said.
