MBABANE– The SADC Organ Troika Chairperson, President Hage Geingob, has shared the same sentiments of some emaSwati politicians, political structures, and the Government of Eswatini.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the SADC Extraordinary Organ Summit at Windhoek in Namibia, the Namibian President, who doubles as the SADC Troika Chairperson, said a dialogue should be given a chance.
He was saying this while directing to the political and security instabilities in Eswatini and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
“On the on-going sporadic, the dialogue is important- let us give a dialogue a chance,” said Geingob.
Supporting this, the SADC Organ Troika Chairperson said when diplomacy failed, people went to war.
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) security troika is set to meet in the Namibian capital, Windhoek, today, to discuss the political and security situation in Eswatini, Mozambique and other parts of the region.
Namibia’s Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation said President Hage Geingob would, on January 31 (today), chair an extraordinary summit of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation to ‘discuss the political and security situation in the region’.
