“Your Majesty the King, your Majesty the King of the Zulu, pastors and all brethren gathered here today, I greet you all in the name of Jesus. Indeed brethren, he has risen from the dead. I’m wondering, has he risen in our hearts?

One pastor whilst preaching says that Mary the mother of Jesus, ran to the tomb and she found that he had risen in a roar, and in that roar, there was an earthquake.

I’m reading from the book of first King’s chapter number 22. The book speaks of two kings. One was from Israel, the other was from Judah. The King from Judah paid a visit to the King of Israel, and upon arrival he found that there was a great meeting that was going on there pertaining the Samarian place. The King of Israel wanted to go ajd make war with the King of Syria. He then invited the King of Judah to go and fight this battle. What I liked was that the King of Judah had greater wisdom. Ahab, on the other side, had no wisdom because he had not sought guidance from the Lord. The King of Judah advised the King of Israel if it was okay to set battle against Syria. The word says prophets were invited, prophesied that he should proceed and will be victorious in battle. In his wisdom, the King from Judah asked a question, “is there not one other prophet that we may enquire from”, and the King of Israel said, “yes we do have, but he never prophesies anything good concerning me. Everytime, he prophesies badly concerning me, and I hate him”. The King of Judah cautioned him not to say so. A messenger was then sent to get this prophet.

It would be good that in our walk in the Lord, we may enquire from time to time from the Lord, because it is evidently clear that these prophets that had spoken were indeed deceiving and leading the King astray. Upon inquiry, it was then found out. It is important therefore, that as a child of the Lord, you must enquire from him from time to time.

The messenger, upon arrival, advised the prophet and said, “prophet, upon arrival there, please prophesy like the other prophets have done because the messenger knew that the King did not like the prophet. Prophet Micah said, “I will not prophesy what the Lord has not said to me, I only take word from the Lord.”

Upon arrival, the prophet prophesied exactly as the other prophesied before him. This he did to test the King to see if he would receive him because he had previously not received him as a prophet. When he finished prophesying, the King of Israel asked him if this was the word from the Lord because the Lord had revealed to the King that this was not the word from the Lord.

The bible says that the prophet said, “I will prophesy as sent by the Lord, I see the people scattered without a shepherd”. When the King of Judah heard this, he turned to the King of Israel and said, “do you see, as I told you, he never says good things about me”. I wish we could always seek for what God has said in our lives, because this prophet always said what God had said to him.

Today we have prophets. I’m not sure about what I’ve heard that some go to get some special powers from the underworld and come to prophesy, and the nation would believe that it is true. We need prophets who hear from God, who will stand for the truth from God, even though it calls that they are taken into prison, but as they stand for the truth as this prophet whom the King commanded for him to be taken to prison without food, he still stood on the word from God.

The King of Israel then said to the King of Judah, “let us go, you will wear your royal robes, and I will be like a civilian and join my army to war. But what God has said will never change. As they went to war, the fight began. The Syrian army saw the King from Judah, and as they attacked him as he ran away and cried to his God, they realised that it was not King Ahab, but the King from Judah.

I’m reminded of David when he was fighting Goliath, the stone he threw went straight for the forehead, as one of the soldiers from the Syrian army took a bow and arrow and shot it directly at the King of Israel. I wish we could all listen to what God says, ud forbids you to go further in your journey, we must obey. The bible tells us that in the last days, there will be false prophets who will prophesy and we will listen to them.

If the King of Israel had heeded the advice from God, he would not have taken leave of what God had said which led to his death.

I’m reminded, after the children of Israel were led by the Lord for forty years in the wilderness, and God began to tell them that where he was leading them they would have plenty of flocks, gold and silver and that they should not forget him when that happens.

As we are gathered here today, we seek the right path for us where Jesus leads us. We must follow after the footsteps of Christ. we must seek for Christ and diligently seek after him. If you have not received him, I urge you to find him today because if you postpone this moment, you don’t know what the future holds.

We just sang a saw which says, “my axe head has fallen right here”. Something has been lent to us. The owner can take it any time. You may be busy postponing not knowing when your day will come.

I am just sharing briefly with you as I have heard, as the pastors have already said, time is fast spent. I was actually just briefly sharing what is in my heart, just like the Zulu King has said, that he is giving you some food to take home, I’m also giving you some food for thought to note what happened to the King of Israel.

We also want to thank the Zulu King for the words that he has given us. We shall indeed regurgitate these words because we must regurgitate them inside, not just on the outside which is meaningless. I want to thank God that you your Majesty have come to join us here today I fully believe that the blessings you have taken here whilst gracing this great event and ceremony here today, you shall carry same to the Zulu nation. We are happy for you that you have gotten a weapon in your hand today, a weapon that will lighten your path every morning as you lead that great nation, for the beginning of wisdom is to know God.

When King Solomon was coronated, God asked him, “What do you desire from me?”, and King Solomon replied, “I desire wisdom from you, oh God.”

Some men, having ascended to the mountain of transfiguration with Jesus, exchanged amongst themselves that if it were good with Jesus, they would build themselves some small tents and stay up on the mountain.

Thank you Reverend, may the Lord bless his word.”
