LISWATI PARTAKES IN AFRICAN CUISINE FESTIVAL

MBABANE- Eswatini was one of the African Countries that took part in the African Cuisine Festival (ACF2022) this past weekend from October 14 to October 16, 2022 in Magoroto Forest Estate, Tanzania.

Deli Magagula, who is the country’s renowned cook, was Eswatini’s representative at the African Cuisine Festival in Tanzania.

Eswatini Positive News (EPN) interviewed Zandile Magagula who is Magagula’s spokesperson.

“Deli has always been a big traditional meals person so it was very exciting when she got the opportunity to showcase her cuisine with people who share the same interests though this festival,” said Magagula.

Magagula further mentioned that food is the one thing that unites all Africans whether through celebrations or through culture.

According to their website, the festival to is purely an African event which aims at giving a continental platform to more than 30 African chefs from different parts of the continent, where they would converge on Tanzania for conference, networking, wine and dine and ultimately in a friendly manner, compete for their countries by showing their foods’ nutritional values and displaying their cultural heritages among other things.

The African Food Festival was created with the sole aim to celebrate African culture through food, it’s a periodical festival which would be done in different cities around the world to promote and commemorate black culture with food and drinks from the rich continent of Africa.
