….. Last year the Festival admitted 30 000 people from 55 countries

MALKERNS– With the much anticipated MTN Bushfire 30 days away, hotels in the country are already reporting being fully booked.
This was revealed by the Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs Moses Vilakati, during the official launch of the MTN Bushfire.
Vilakati said they have been made aware as Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) that some hotels and lodges in the country were already booked. He said this was impressive news to them.
He further urged Emaswati and international festival-goers to continue going for the places that were not fully booked yet.
“We were so happy to learn that some hotels and lodges, especially located in the Malkerns’ surroundings, were the ones booked up,” he said.
Meanwhile, the statistics from MTN Bushfire last year show that the festival admitted 30 000 people from 55 countries.
The numbers do not end there but over 1 600 people were employed by the festival. During the launch, there was a demonstration and celebration of the new Eswatini airline.
A Durban cabin crew demonstrated to guests how a plane takes off and what happens when it does.
MTN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wandile Mntshali also announced during the launch that, this year they were sponsoring the event with E3 600 000.
Worth noting is that, MTN Bushfire Festival fans can also expect the usual diverse range of arts, culture, and family-friendly activities, performances, and activations.
This year’s line-up will also include theatre, comedy, dance, and of course the ever-popular Artisanal marketplace, Food Village, and Kid Zone.
