LOCAL TALENT TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT MTN BUSHFIRE

MBABANE – The MTN Bushfire Festival has long been a melting pot of diverse talents from around the world.

Over the years, the spotlight has increasingly shone on home-grown artists, with more and more local musicians and performers gracing the stages of the festival.

The three-day festival extravaganza showcases the best in music, art, and culture from Eswatini and beyond. It features a treasure trove of local and international artists, each bringing their unique sounds and styles to three stages that are buzzing with energy and excitement.

It is worth noting that three Eswatini artists are to share the stage with renowned artists of impeccable stature on the main stage. These artists include Bholoja, born Mbongiseni Ngubane, a legend in the music industry; the Trend Twins, known for their soulful beats and dance and Umuti, who thrills the stage with an array of local music and performances.

During an interview with the Trend Twins, Nkosenhle Dlamini, she said, “We are happy to be part of the MTN Bushfire Festival again, and we are prepared to show the Eswatini talent on the main stage,” she said.

She further shared that they are yet to deliver the best of what people have experienced.

The festival’s Ballantine Firefly Stage showcases world-class talent, featuring a mix of international acts and local stars. This year’s local stars who will perform include Stella Jacobs, Ohtomn Sally, DJ Cup, and Wassabee, Sooks, Tendaness, and many more to immense pleasure to the audience.

Stella Jacob, an MTN Firefly winner and Ballentine Firefly performer, expressed her excitement in an interview with this publication.

“I’m overjoyed and proud of what I’ve accomplished so far. To be making such a significant impact in the industry as a new artist is a true honour. I have new music and traditional outfits prepared especially for this event, so you can expect a blazing performance from me. I am ready to bring the heat and spread my fire,” she said.

The MTN Bushfire Amphitheatre stage, a unique and intimate performance space, will host a selection of local artists, including the soulful Jazz P, the innovative Sarnillo, and the dynamic Country music duo Dusty and Stones. They are to light the stage with an exciting performance, giving the audience an unexplainable experience.
