MABANDLA NETS 46 GOALS IN 31 MATCHES

MBABANEMakhonza United F.C armature player Mabandla ‘Pelepele’ Sukati (25) has scored 46 times in the Nhlangano Zonal League, after playing 31 games. These are current statistics from the Shiselweni Regional Football Association affiliating under Eswatini Football Association (EFA) and sponsored by the Shiselweni Forest Company.

Shiselweni Forest Company staked E35 000.00, where Sukati is now the top goal scorer in the league, followed by Mncedisi Mkhonta of Nkoneni Vultures (34) with and on bronze level is Wandile Gamedze (26), the top league’s top score is set to get an amount  E500. 00.

“I’m very proud that I’m the league’s top scorer, I want to thank my teammates and coaches who have helped me achieve this milestone” Sukati Stated. He further mentioned that he wants to continue with this scoring rate until he gets noticed by big clubs.

He further urged his teammates to continue helping him do more and push to archive his best. “Mabandla is a workaholic, and has a fighting spirit; it’s no surprise to me that he is topping the list of the league scorers.” Coach Menelisi Simelane said.

Joseph Tsela the secretary for Nhlangano Zonal League said that Mabandla is a very good striker, very aggressive and speedy. “Sukati is the future of Shiselweni football,” Tsela said. He also pleaded with the government to provide machinery to have good soccer fields and maintain the ones we have now, and also allocate funds to the regions to help the development leagues in the country.

“I’m really proud of this boy; he will surely make our team known out there, he has proven himself as a good ambassador for our team.” Said Makhonza United F.C. manager, Patrick Mavimbela. Bhekani Khumalo the chairperson thanked the SFC for sponsoring the league, also the efforts that the youngsters are putting in.
