MBABANE-Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini has handed over a 65-seater bus worth E2 199 331.88 to Macudvulwini Multipurpose Cooperative.
The cooperative is based in Macudvulwini Chiefdom under Ngwempisi Constituency. The bus was handed over yesterday through the Regional Development Fund (RDF). Since the year 2015, the RDF has funded projects worth E10 026 144.01 under the Ngwempisi lnkhundla.
The minister said such projects directly addressed the objective of the RDF, which was poverty alleviation or eradication in each of the four regions of Eswatini.
“As it has been evidenced today, the Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development through the Regional Development Fund has continued to be a flagship of success in spearheading the Government’s programmes focused in rural development and poverty reduction with special emphasis on income-generating projects. It is humbling to the Government of Eswatini to witness their Majesties identifying and fully supporting poverty alleviation initiatives,” Dlamini said.
The minister added by saying it was also within the Government’s vision to pursue expansion into other project areas, which were a priority need for improving the socio-economic lives of rural communities. In conclusion, the minister urged Macudvulwini Multipurpose Cooperative to adhere to professional business ethics and seed part of the profit in business growth.
