MBABANE – Madlenya FC is on an impressive run, thanks in no small part to their defensive midfielder, Sehluko Nkabindze. The player has been crowned the MTN Premier League’s best player for the month of September, winning the coveted award at the PLE awards held at Eswatini MTN headquarters in Ezulwini yesterday.
Nkabindze’s brilliant run of form helped Madlenya secure victory in their match against Royal Leopards as he scored the winning goal. As the team heads into their next match against Manzini Wanderers at Prince Wales on Saturday, 8 October 2023, Nkabindze is determined to keep up the momentum by leading his team to victory once again.
“I am happy for scooping the player of the month award, and I was expecting that the award would come from our team as we performed exceptionally well in our previous games,” said Nkabindze.
Nkabindze’s impressive performances have made him a strong contender for the Player of the Season award. If he continues in this vein, it is likely that he will be lifting that trophy by the end of the season.
But for Nkabindze and his Madlenya FC teammates, the focus remains on their next match. With a desire to win the first round of the league, Nkabindze has promised to give his best, and help his team continue their winning streak.
“The team is working hard to maintain the winning streak and make sure we collect maximum points,” he said.
With Sehluko Nkabindze in their ranks, Madlenya FC has a formidable asset. Only time will tell if they can maintain their success and challenge for the league title.
