MBABANE – With the NFD status up for grabs, Magwanyana FC and Usuthu Liverpool will be hoping to secure maximum points in their last fixtures of the Swazi Trac Lubombo Super League to secure the spot.
The Swazi Trac Lubombo Super League title race intensifies with the champions to be decided on the final fixture to be played Saturday and Sunday at Mayaluka Stadium and KaLanga Technical Centre.
At the top of the log standings, Magwanyana FC are currently sitting at the first position with 60 points and second-placed Usuthu Liverpool following with 58 points.
On the final week fixture, the log leaders, Magwanyana will take on forth placed, former National First Division (NFD) team Rail United in the battle for three points that will secure them spot in the NFD at KaLanga Stadium, kick-off 2:30pm.
Usuthu Liverpool will battle against Big Bend Youngsters in the Big Bend derby scheduled for Mayaluka Stadium on Saturday at 2:30pm.
Meanwhile, Masundvwini Royal Swallows were crowned Manzini Super League Champion to earn their ticket to the NFD, while Amawele were crowned Hhohho Regional Football League Champions after defeating Hhohho Northern Zone side Zibonele Vultures with 1-0 aggregate score to advance to the NFD.
These relegated teams include Milling Hotspurs, Nyanyali Celtics, Louis XIV and Ubombo Flyers which will be campaigning in regional football in the 2024/25 season.
