MBABANE – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) continue to be swift and tough on criminals erupting the country.

According to their latest crime report, REPS have made major breakthroughs in a number of cases.

In the detailed statement released on their social media platforms Facebook, a 40-year-old man from Engudzeni was arrested in connection with a murder case whereby an 80-year-old man from Engudzeni was hit once on the head with a stone while in the Engudzeni area.

“A 35-year-old man of Buseleni was arrested for an attempted murder case whereby he stabbed a 35-year-old man of Buseleni with a beer bottle on the neck while at Buseleni,” read the statement in part.

It was also mentioned that a 27-year-old man from Mbabane was arrested in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle following the theft of a Golf TSI black in colour which was stolen while parked at Fonteyn.

This follows the arrest of three men aged 30,30 and 29 years of Sithobelweni and Mpolonjeni respectively were arrested in connection with the theft of EPTC copper cables valued at E47682.00 while at Ekupheleni.

“Two men aged 49 and 47 years of Jubukweni were arrested in connection with a murder case whereby a 24-year-old man of Jubukweni was found lying dead with injuries all over the body while at Ejubukweni area,” reads the statement further.

It is worth mentioning that, a 28-year-old man of Njakeni was arrested for being found in possession of dagga weighing 42:462 kg without a licence or permit while at Njakeni area.

“A 65 year old man of Breyten (RSA) was arrested for being found in possession of a Pistol loaded with nine (9) live rounds of ammunition without a permit while at Matsapha industrial Site,”

“A 24-year-old man of Lukhetseni (Siteki) was arrested for being found in possession of five (5) live rounds of ammunition without a licence or permit while at Ngwane Park,” reads the statement in full.
