MANKAYANE – The Mankayane Town Board has invested E4.6 Million to tar some of the remaining gravel roads in the town.
Mankayane Town Board CEO Maconda Madlopha revealed that this exercise is an extension of Government’s work to bring people closer to services more efficiently.
Speaking to the media about the new roads, Madlopha explained that, “This Thuthuka road on which we’re standing is about 100 metres, and it’ll join Titandini road. Both of these projects cost E4.6 million, and we’re almost done with the constuction.”
Madlopha revealed that the project is at its practical completion and it has included the addition of street lights and pavements in the town’s previously gravel roads. “This is part of the development we’re doing as the town of Mankayane, so that the town can continue to develop.”
Madlopha further revealed that there are more projects being completed in the town, including giant lights as well as other security initiatives.
