MANZINI REGIONAL FOOTBALL TO EMPOWER ADMINISTRATORS, REFEREES

MBABANE – With football action in the field of play on break, the Manzini Regional Football Association (MRFA) will get empower administrators and recruit referee next month.

This will be during the Football Administration Course and Referees Recruitment with both courses billed for next month. The courses are in preparations of the 2024/ 25 season kick-off set for late August.

According to a statement from MRFA, the Executive Committee is organizing a Refereeing Basic Course to be held next month for six promotion leagues. The leagues are Usuthu, Mkhiweni, Kukhanyeni, Malkerns, Nsingweni and Mafutseni.

“The MRFA urges clubs from the aforementioned Regional Leagues in preparation for the for 2024/ 2025 football season, to submit names of candidates before June 20, 2024, who shall take part in the refereeing basic course to be properly knowledge on how to official a match,” reads the statement.

Meanwhile, the association said one of the key objectives for the MRFA is to educate and train club administrators in the region. The region with the assistance of the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) will be conducting administration course on the following dates July 6, 7, 13, 14 and 20, 2024.

“Clubs are urged to submit names of the candidates which will be attending the course before 21st of June 2024. Please note this course is compulsory to all Regional League teams. Failure by a club to send a candidate to the course shall result to the club being summarily fined E200.

To successfully realize the implementation of this important course, clubs are requested to release the relevant participants who are mostly responsible for day-to-day club business. Each participant will pay a E200 for the course,” reads the statement.
