The Chairperson of the Official opening organizing committee at EIPA, Hanalora Strydom, said “The  programme for the official opening will include a variety of music genres to satisfy the attendees. We made sure that we have more local artists on the lineup than artists from outside the country. This is to make sure that we maintain a proudly local feel for entertainment on the day. We would like to encourage emaSwati to come out in numbers on 2 September and enjoy the official opening of the 2023 Trade Fair”.

She further said the public can look forward to free access to fun fair games on the day of the official opening.  After the opening children will pay E20 and E30 adults for the games. There will also be other entertainment and giveaways for emaSwati to enjoy. The day will be a family-focused day that is aimed at celebrating the start of Eswatini’s biggest trade show.

Those who will attend the EITF can also enter the Win a Car competition at the Trade Fair. The Kia model which is up for grabs at the Trade Fair is the popular SUV Kia Sonet. It is sponsored by WesBank and Kia Motors Eswatini. To enter the competition, emaSwati need to visit the Eswatini International Trade Fair from 1 to 10 September 2023 and also explore the stall where they will get stamps on their entry forms. The entry forms should then be dropped into the entry box. The winner will be announced during the EITF closing ceremony.
