Matamza was born in Hluthi (KaMziki), but stayed in Big Bend for almost all his life. He shared with this publication that he became a DJ in 2011. His mentor was DJ Cash (Ndunduzo Dlamini).

When asked how he got the ambassador ship gig, he said: “I got the gig after meeting a lady in South Africa last month. I had a business meeting with this lady, and her friend needed to invade other countries with the gin; lucky for them, they liked me, and that’s how I got the gig.”

The DJ explained what the role of being an ambassador is. He said: “The role of an ambassador is to stay up to date with trends in the industry, generate reports for the said product or company, market, and all.”

According to the DJ, he is his favourite DJ locally. “In South Africa, my favourite DJ is Njelic Dr. Gandayi. I would still love to work with AyaCity locally, in SA Njelic and Jazziq, in the future,” he said.

While fiddling with drums in church, Matamza grew his love for music and ventured into being a DJ. Since 2011, he has never failed his fans with his Afro-Gcom, and now mixing the latest Amapiano tunes and dance moves sets him apart. Signed under the Mega Sound Stable, he has been dazzling fans with sets in Gauteng, Nelspruit, Mozambique, and many more places. He has shared the stage with South African artists, namely DJ Tira, AKA, Daliwonga, Kabza De Small, Maphorisa, Boohle, and Ami Faku.
