MBABANE – Driving from Mbabane to Mhlambanyatsi had become a serious headache for motorists, following the bad state of this road. This has been caused by deep potholes and unattended overgrown grass next to the road.

From the Eswatini Electricity Company to Hilltop, the road was a disastrous drive. In fact, motorists had been forced to drive the bypass road which passes through Nkwalini Zone 2. This had become a cause for concern, and Government has since sprung to action.

The Ministry of Public Works on Monday began the rehabilitation of the Mbabane-Bhunya (via Mhlambanyatsi) road – an action which has been ceremoniously welcomed by many.

The rehabilitation of this road forms part of Government’s wider road rehabilitation programme. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has requested motorists using roads currently under rehabilitation to drive with caution.
